Solution

1. Grinding Off Existing Coating: The process began with grinding off the old coating to expose the original tiles. This step was crucial for ensuring proper adhesion of the new flooring system.
2. Tile Replacement: Any drummy (hollow) and broken tiles were removed. These were replaced with a trowel coat of GP Epoxy to restore a smooth and stable base.
3. Priming and Scratch Coat: A Polyac 18 primer coat was applied to ensure excellent adhesion of subsequent layers. Following this, a scratch coat of Polyac 55 was used to level the surface and provide a strong bonding foundation.
4. Application of Polyac 55: Two roll coats of Polyac 55 were applied to achieve a uniform, durable surface. During the second wet coat, decorative colored sand was broadcasted to add visual appeal and enhance slip resistance.
5. Clear Coating: The final finish consisted of two coats of Polyac 61 clear coats. These provided a protective layer, enhancing durability and offering a glossy, attractive appearance.
